Interdisciplinary thoracic conference

The thoracic conference takes place in the conference room of the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Herne (EVK) location Eickel, every Wednesday at 3:15 pm. Every individual case excerting a thoracic oncological disease or any other difficult respiratory condition is discussed taking advantage of the interdisciplinary approach. Besides representatives of the departments for respiratory medicine and infectious diseases as well as thoracic surgery, also radiologists, oncologists and radiotherapists are present.

Moreover, any colleague caring for these patients - e.g. practicing respiratory specialists or colleagues from hospitals in the neighbourhood - are welcome to present their cases at one of these conferences. It is possible to display radiographs or any other diagnostic images. We gently ask you to announce relevant patients up to 24 hours prior to a conference in our office. You can download an application form and bring it along to the conference.

The results of the discussion of the case - in form of the involved persons' consensus - will be documented in the application form.

The conference is credited by the Medical Association Westphalia-Lippe as a retraining course with a total of 2 CME points.
