Welcome to the the centre for thoracic diseases in the Ruhr area ("Thoraxzentrum Ruhrgebiet")

The centre for thoracic diseases in the Ruhr Area is an association of the departments for respiratory medicine and infectious diseases of the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Herne (evangelic hospital in Herne) and the Augusta-Kranken-Anstalt Bochum (Augusta hospital in Bochum) as well as the clinic for thoracic surgery of the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Herne (EVK) (protestant hospital in Herne). Since January 2006, the centre for thoracic diseases in the Ruhr Area is the new centre for health care of patients who suffer from bronchial, pulmonary, pleural, extrapleural and other respiration disorders.
